The day has arrived. We had been looking forward to coming to Tokyo Disneyland for a long time, and we were here. Now, as much as we want to… if we wrote a play by play of the entire day at Disney you would be reading for hours and hours. I could fill a page of just how much Stitch enjoyed the Stitch ride and how scared he got during the Haunted Mansion experience. More to come on Stitch and why he keeps popping up in random photos and references.
Instead, we are going to provide some high-level data for you math nerds and some highlights of a few of our favorite attractions.

Now that we have all the stats out there for you number crunchers, let’s dive into some highlights of the day
Tip: arrive early to get in line. The line was already several hundred people long when we woke up at 6 am, and the park didn’t open until 9 am.
Beauty and the Beast Ride: This was by far the best ride we have ever experienced. The ride was contained in Beast’s castle with no detail spared. While sitting in a big tea cup, the trackless ride floated us through different ball rooms. Instead of looking at a scene, it felt as if you were immersed in the scene. Each ball room filled the air with the magical music scores. What really stood out was the fact you only experienced 4 to 5 scenes, but each scene was perfected. Even the characters movements felt like they were real.
Winnie the Pooh: This ride had the best queue to get to the ride. Walking through a storybook made it feel like your childhood. It truly felt like a crisp, September day through the ride. Some of the cool parts of this ride was the way they simulated you bouncing through the forest like Tigger, or the immersion in Tigger’s birthday party. That was an intense movie for all you 90s kids!
Monsters Inc: Similar to California Adventure’s ride, the characters were immaculate. Instead of going through the city, we went through Monsters Inc Corporation facility with some different scenes and some similar. It was funny hearing Sully speak in Japanese.
Canoes: This was an unique experience that we did not expect at a Disney Park. You get to hop into a canoe, and they actually have you row around the park with the help of a guide. We got to row past Tom Sawyer’s Island and through parts of the Jungle Cruise.
Snacks: We enjoyed the Green Alien Mochi, a tropical mango sundae, Hungry Bear’s curry, the classic Mickey Mouse tropical fruit bar and ice cream sandwich, along with an assortment of popcorn’s including: curry, honey, matcha with white chocolate, and black pepper. Our dentist is lucky we didn’t try all of them! We were surprised that the best curry we have had in Japan was actually at Disney.
Some other fun observations: This park is extremely clean. In some of the bathrooms, they’d have employees waiting for you in the bathroom and clean the seat right before you went into a stall.
Everything was so affordable. We spent $380 and that included souvenirs , food, park tickets, and fast passes.
Crowds are manageable at this Disney. It felt more compact than other parks, but we were able to get plenty of moments that felt like we were practically alone in Disney.
Here are some other fun pics from our day.
Overall: We had the perfect day in Disney. It was not too much and certainly not underwhelming either. It blew our expectations and felt nostalgic despite the language barrier. What kind of honeymoon would it be if we didn’t stay in a Stitch themed room 🎉😂
Until next time, Tokyo Disneyland
