Las Vegas

You either love or hate Las Vegas. This truly is the city that never sleeps. We decided one of the first cities we wanted to visit together was Vegas. I had been back in 2018 with some colleagues and while it was an ok experience, I wanted to have a wonderful experience, so I knew if I took Jessa with me, it would be a blast. She makes even going to the dentist fun.

We purchased the Vegas GoCity Pass that lets you have access to a variety of attractions all for one price. It was well worth the cost. Now we did not have to worry about what we would do or see since it was all included. We stayed at 3 different hotels to get a full experience of the strip including: Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, and Trump Tower. Our favorite hotel was Caesar’s Palace as our room overlooked the pool and had stunning views at night.

We did a lot of activities such as the Human Bodies Exhibits (you can see real life bodies that have been somewhat mummified up close), Wax Museum, New York Coaster, Ferris Wheel, Zip Line, Hunger Games Exhibit, played some craps, and ate a lot of food.

Some of our favorite food we have ever eaten was in Vegas. We tried the Bachanal Buffet and it did not disappoint. The King Crab was delicious and the detail they put into even the smallest entrees was very exquisite.

Our favorite meal was at Hell’s Kitchen on our one year anniversary of dating. We had never seen the show, but had heard raving reviews so we decided to give it a try. Unbelievable, was the best way to describe it. We started off with an appetizer of spring onion soup and the flavor was rich. The winner was the entrĂ©e called a beef wellington. Imagine the best filet mignon you have ever had that is wrapped in a puffy pastry that somehow does not get soggy with the medium rare steak inside. It was phenomenal and words can’t describe the flavor or experience. I would go back in a heartbeat, and could never be a vegetarian! I think this meal would turn any vegan into a meat loving son of a biscuit.

Vegas was a great time. We still need to go back to check out omega mart, pawn stars shop, and do a few other activities, but all in all we had a blast for one of our first cities together.
